September Hands In Mission (H.I.M.)

Do you have 4 hours to serve those who daily serve the homeless in St. Louis? Join us on Saturday the 25th at 8:00 am in the main CLC parking lot. After a short devotional, we will Caravan to Centenary UMC in downtown St. Louis to perform some clean up, painting, weeding and other activities. Youth Fall Kick-Off A Great Success

Soccer Balls for Haiti

I will be joining the first Missouri VIM to Haiti departing on September 19. My purpose is twofold, to assist the people in Haiti during their recovery; and to research 2011 VIM opportunities for Webster Hills. REVEAL Direction Workshop

There will be a Cross-Ministry Workshop on Thursday, September 9th from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the Great Hall. The purpose of the workshop is to develop and connect ideas for our key ministry areas--Worship, Spiritual Formation, Mission and Evangelism--based on Reveal direction. Food, Fun and Fellowship at WOW

Come to WOW on Wednesday, September 15 at 6:00 pm.  Come to the CLC for a great meal and catch up with everyone after the summer! This month we will hear a presentation from the youth about their mission trip and we will have the bounce house up for the kids to enjoy! Childcare will be provided in the nursery. Concert Series Announcement

Karen Fulks & her accompanist, Ron Bryant, have been musical partners for eight years. Lay Speaking Update

Our next round of Lay Speaking classes will be held September 18 and 25 at St. Andrew UMC in Florissant. Jeff Fothergill will be teaching the basic class. In addition, the Small Groups advanced course will be offered with Ann Chase from Lewis Chapel UMC facilitating. A New Young Adults Small Group

A young adults small group has started that will meet on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. This group is composed of youth adults (23 or older) and as of now is all couples. On September 13th the group will begin studying Richard Stearns’ book, The Hole in Our Gospel. Bethesda Worship

August 29th is a fifth Sunday so Webster Hills will be leading the Sunday chapel service at Bethesda Dilworth. Volunteers will be needed to go to Bethesda and assist residents in getting to chapel. Please meet in the CLC parking lot at 1:50 pm to go over to Bethesda and be part of this important outreach ministry. We are finished around 3:15 pm. We need volunteers so please consider helping. 

District Conference

The Webster Hills Pumpkin Dispatch

Attention! The countdown has begun. In just about 40 days the CLC lawn will change from green to orange as we launch our 8th annual all church, fundraising, spectacular, amazing Pumpkin Patch. Pakistan Flood Appeal

The flooding in Pakistan is one of the worst disasters we have seen. It is larger than the Tsunami and the Haiti and Chile Earthquakes combined. Cafe Connect: Fellowship and a Great Cup of Coffee and Pastry

Come connect with friends on Sunday mornings for good food and fellowship. A variety of muffins, donuts and pastries are available along with good coffee and orange juice for a recommended donation of $1 per person. Refreshments are served between 9:30 am and 9:45 am in the Franklin Lewis Chapel. 

Two Horses

There is a field, with two horses in it. From a distance, each horse looks like any other horse. But if you stop your car, or are walking by, you will notice something quite amazing. Looking into the eyes of one horse will disclose that he is blind. His owner has chosen not to have him put down, but has made a good home for him.  Click To Continue
