Leslie Hedenberg joined the Webster Hills Preschool staff in 2013 and became director in May 2025. She loves the preschool’s sense of community and says that’s “what has kept me here long after my own children graduated from the program.” 

Originally from Illinois, Leslie earned a degree in Elementary Education from Illinois State followed by a master’s degree from Webster University.  

When she’s not working, she loves to travel. She and her husband, Ben, along with their four children, recently spent two weeks in Portugal. 

Though her life is full with work and family, she still finds time to indulge in one of her passions. “I love to read and end most of my days with a hot tea and a few chapters of whatever I am currently reading.”
